The Heart of Fun in Eastern Kentucky
Held on the first Saturday in August, this one-day event has grown every year. Featuring the finest arts and crafts Morgan County has to offer, the Market draws folks from all around the area to experience the wonderful works, the tasty food and produce, and the live music.
Arts and More
At the Market in the Park, you’ll find handmade creations of all kinds. Take home a few bars of handmade lye soap or a jar of locally gathered honey. You just never know what you may find.
Food and Produce
In what we hope will become an annual tradition, local chefs-in-training put their skills to the test in a cookoff challenge using locally sourced meat and produce and there’s free food and water to keep your shopping legs under you. If you want to go home and put on your own chef’s hat afterward, pick up some local produce to take with you as you go!
Antiques
The Market in the Park also gives our local antique vendors an opportunity to present their latest finds. You may even be able to pick up an old iron skillet to take home and cook up the fresh produce you just purchased!
